New Kickstarter reward: Emoji translation

Fireside contributing writer Ken Liu suggested this Kickstarter reward idea, which I think is pretty neat. One of Ken’s hobbies is translating works of literature into emoji. What is emoji? They are emoticons on steroids, covering a wide array of images, and they are very popular in Japan. Here is an example that Ken did, which he shared with a 2009 Kickstarter project to translate Moby Dick into emoji:

For this $50 reward, Ken will translate a message provided by the backer of 50 words or less into emoji and send it to the backer. The backer will also receive the print and electronic versions of Fireside magazine. You can pledge over at the Kickstarter page.
